I saw this listing in the forum and I’m having the exact same issue, there didn’t seem to be a resolution:
I bought a WS-POES-8-7-24v60w to power some ipads via WS-POE-USB. When I plug in an ethernet cord into the switch in mode B it powers off, the PSU light goes off too, does this mean the unit is defective or am I missing something.

Any ethernet cord into the POE ports causes the power to go off, even without a splitter attached? Is the ethernet cable factory made?

Or if you use a factory made cable, and jumper the PoE port over to just one splitter – with no load, does the power go off?

Something is wrong here – so just need a little more information to figure this out.
